It really seems to me like he is struggling to keep a grip of what's good for him, It's quite sad to see really. Besides that, I thought the program was pretty interesting . Yeah I think he knows he's done wrong, but he just seems to me like he has to keep trying to convince himself that he wants to do the right thing as he says.
