Out Today For A Few Hours

Alright guy's and girl's was out today on my permission , had a walk around checking out the field's and found myself a nice little spot in the corner of one of the many field's with a little woodland backing onto my permission , so got settled down and was not long before a rabbit presented itself about 20 yard's along the ditch edge , which i thought was a little strange as there's no set's around there, but anyway's got him in the sight's and squeezed on the trigger and took a nice clean kill only to realise on retrieving the rabbit it had a bad case of 'mixy' which is the only rabbit iv'e seen this year with it . Have taken loads of rabbits off there ferreting and not seen any with 'mixy' so hoping it was just a one off . Had a good day really even seen a big group of what i can only describe as white tailed deer (not too good with name's of the species) , roaming about the field's . So a good few hour's out really , but stupid me forgot the camera for some pic's ... ATB Chris

Nice one buddy, we have seen two or three bugs with mixy in the last 3 months, no noticable decline in population apart from the dent we have put in them, so all good for now

 

Everytime I see a deer I ask myself why havent I got an f.a.c, then remember nobody in there right mind would let me have one :laugh:

 

Maybe one day. . . .

hi Ste i hope it's just that one with it but never can sure as there's plenty of bunnies knocking about on the permission, wh keicheps me busy when i get on there like so no compalint's there , as for the deers would'nt mind if i had f.a.c and dsc1 would be a treat if did , would have plenty of venison in the freezer im sure if i did , wouldnt mind getting f.a.c myself but dont think id get approved because assault of charge's but what the hell im happy with what iv'e got for now ... thanks for the comments pal . atb .
