does any one know how to increase the working distanse of the remote for electric gates, there is an aerial on the system and new batterys in the remote. sometimes it will work form a distanse of about 25 meters which is perfect due to the location but most of the time it only work's from a distance of about 3/4 meters. dont know the make of the system only that it's italian..

I know they used to have a prgu unit which is like a digital control unit which is how you would change it but dont ask me how i would imagine you will need to consult whoever put the system in as there all different....i think the maximum distance is only around 3/4 metres anyway....the newer ones are using the gsm key system nowadays where you key in a number from your mobile phone....means you can open them from 300 miles away if you really wanted to !...and theres no worry of pulling up and realising you have lost the remote and having to climb over :icon_redface:
