Know what your saying but struggling to find a raw supplier in my area (south yorkshire) problem is I don't drive and no one seems to do deliverey unless you order s**t loads

Just go have a nice chat with your local independent family butcher most will do pet mince cheap if you throw him some rabbits they might even give you the meat destined for the bin. I buy all the offcuts etc from mine that he couldn't sell so it helps us both. Also buy 3 chickens for £10 in the supermarket and use breasts and legs for yourself and feed the dog the rest of the carcass. Its cheaper than buying the chicken separately for yourself anyway so its free dog food. Tescos also do 1kg of chicken wings for like £1.70ish. It just takes a bit of working out at the beginning but its easy enough to get bits here and there.

I've been using Sneyds Wonderdog for years and even with one dog being a picky eater they've never wanted for anything else. I could be wrong but it may be packaged under other names because I used to get it as a 'Working Dog' feed years ago and a friend who works in a pet shop had a look at it and said he could get the same stuff but cheaper. When it came it was Sneyds; different bag, same stuff! Never bothered mixing anything in unless one dog was getting more graft then I just added a bit of mince and/or cheap pasta (remember when everyone was price matching/slashing 'Nice Price' and it was pennies per bag from ASDA :D ).

As mine has got older, I've started mixing with 30%-50% BETA Senior but crickey it's expensive when you are used to Wonderdog!

None of my dogs have been keen on the raw meat (barf) diet :wallbash:.Several have even refused to eat raw meat at all.I source dead hens from the local battery farm and pick carcasses up from the nacker man for next to nowt :icon_eek: .Cook the meat outside and feed everything to the dogsalong with standard mixer food :toast: all as healthy as fook.

I dont know about dry cereal in the UK, but in the states it all SUCKS. Plain and simple if your into performance dogs. Meat right off the carcus with a little dry mixed in is tops IMO. Now this post is in the R.D. section. Just asked what those racing kennels feed when $$$$$$ is on the line. It should be no different for us.
