Anyone had experiences with .243 80 grain Sierra Blitz.

Hiya Guys,

 

I am looking at developing a new load and would like to try the .243 Sierra grain Blitz. Have any of you guys on here had any experiences with them ???

 

I have had amazing accuracy with brain bergers but they don't seem to be as explosive on targets as V-Max. Are the grain Sierra blitz any better ???

i have tried the 70 grain sierra blitzking to devastating effect out to 437 yards on foxes, good accurate round, and hard hitting, so i'd say the 80g would be the same,

 

cannot recommend the blitz king highly enough,

Was that in a .243win, if so what twist rate and what load were you using if you don't mind me asking ???

yes in .243 win, that was with a 1 in 10 twist mate, in a standard tikka barrel,

 

i've had a custom job done since and not used them yet, in the 1 in 9

 

that was with 47g vit n160 win brass, and fed 210 primers, gace a velocity of 3310 fps...

dont get them mixed up guys the bliz and blizking are two different bullets. yes there both made by sierra but the blizking is a bt bullet and the bliz is softpoint boat tail

hence i stated blitzking mate, but i'm sure the blitz are every bit as good... and the softpoint will do the job...

 

i'd also recommend the 87g v max, they really shoot well for me into the .2's with five shot group...
