borderterrier 0
Now where are the do-gooders who like to prosecute people that are cruel to Foxes. Good old RSPCA Abandonment of Animals Act 1960 It is an offence under this Act for a person having control or charge of an animal to deliberately and without good cause abandon it permanently or otherwise in circumstances likely to cause unnecessary suffering. Because of the definition of "animal" in this Act, non-domestic animals which have been taken into captivity are covered by this legislation. Therefore, an offence may be committed under section 1 of this Act if a released rehabilitated wild animal does not have a reasonable chance of survival (i.e. a chance similar to its non-rehabilitated peers). This may include release of foxes at an unsuitable site, in the wrong territory, unfit, not having learned to hunt, at the wrong time of year etc.

Berkutchi 0
Around six years ago in my native kent,a good friend of mine whilst out ferreting on the North Downs saw a van parked down a farm track and two people releasing around a dozen "urban" Fox's into a copse. My friend kept out of view and watched them doing it,severn of the Fox's had mange so bad that they had a bold brush and looked akin to rats tails! This was in mid November with sevre frosts and the following two weeks one guy i know took four very emaciated foxes with his Deerhound x Saluki/Greyhound,they were starved how cruel!!! :realmad:
