Putting the feelers out

Recommended Posts

I am not looking for a pup now but just putting the feelers out as I may be after one in the next 6 months.

Just wondering if anyone is planning a litter between now and early summer time.

Short and Stocky JRT or JRT cross. Smooth or Broken coated.

If so any pics of potential dam/sire would be appreciated.

Cheers

Thanks cleanspade.

I have been talking to bigboy19706 who has got a russel bitch which has been mated by a russel/lakey dog.

Both parents bushing, rabbiting and ratting which is what I want my pup to do so seems a good call.

Just awaiting pics of parents and the missus to agree :-)

Thanks for replys.

Skinner - What does the lakey add? Have you got one? I want it for mainly mooching with lurchers, bushing, ratting and just general going everywhere we go.

Thanks

i have worked this cross alot of years now , i have bred and worked both lakey and russells, with both breeds i found there was not a even standard through out the full litter, as in some to hard and some abit to soft so when i went into the cross i found a more bettter standard through out the whole litter so kept to it,

Skinner - Have you got any pics of lakey x russel mate?

Rock - Thanks for reply. I didn't really want a pup from parents that are earth dogs as I don't want dog going to ground. Obviously I know any terrier might go to ground but I think if parents haven't then less chance possibly.

Cheers
