it started off a good day

today i was pissed off sat in and just needed to get away from all the shit thats been going on to past week,so grabed my best worker a bag full of nets and a couple of beers and set off it was about 12 when i left and i hate late starts.after walking for about 30 minutes i found a semi big warren 24 holes after netting up i colled up ferret had a quick smoke time to get started, i dropped in the fert and about two minutes later i get two bolts out of the same hole one in the net one gets away (wish i still had my dog)as im neting the hole back up i get a bolt at the far end of the warren so after a short sprint and a slip in cow shit its two in the bag and one missed in under three minutes bad,as im scraping the the cow pat off my boots and nee i get get a next bolt 3 in the bag.then nothing for the next 5 minutes then two more bolts looking like its going to be a good afternoon. i got one more bolt that slipped net, the ferret poped out and darted back down so no the was more in there but it went dead,after about 15 minutes and no bolts or ferret i got the finder out found him at 4ft so started digging when i broke thru no ferret just the collar ffs all i can do is sit out and wait for him to show.after two hours of banging and squeaking at holes still nothing, by now im panicking incase hes stuck in a stop end and cant get out with the light fadeing fast and no lamp the is only one thing i can do,so i start blocking all the holes lucky the was a old dry stone wall at the top of the hill that i can borrow some stones from.by the time all the holes was blocked up it was dark so i hide the net and the bunnys in a bush and start the jog home to pick up some cage traps and a lamp,about 45 minutes later get back to warren i start moveing the stones and haveing a squeak still nothing so i set a cage trap at one of the holes and get back to moveing some stones got to the last hole and started to set the last trap and CLINCK the sound the cage door closeing put the lamp on the trap and the stinker in there, words can't explain how buzzing i was to see him in that trap when i got him back he was covered mud maybe i blocked him when to dug to the collar and he had to dig himself out i will never no with the ferret back i went to go pick the nets and rabbits and gess what no bunnys mr fox got a free meal and a game carrier.bit gutted about the carrier but hay i got my ferret back and thats all that counts.
