aaronpigeonplucker 32
hi all i awoke this molrning to find all the bait gone out of both my cage traps (peanut buttert + whole peanuts) and a couple of strands of grey fur on the edge of one giving away who did it. but both my traps were frozen stiff and took a hefty puch to set off. how do i combat this so i can leave my traps overnight and they still work in the morning? aaronpigeonplucker 32
thanks guys! think i'll try beeswax, seems a good plan. micky, funnily enough i checked it yesterday morning and it was set off so i looked down the front (it's covered in branches t make it look more inviting?) and there was a little doormous sitting in it. i took off the branches and the doormouse was gone! must have squeezed throught the bars somehow, or maybe its houdini-mouse. Must be a Houdini mouse .Dormouse would asleep this time of year. It's only a personal thing but I don't like leaving squirrel cage traps set overnight in really freezing weather as the squirrels are not active in the dark anyway and any non-target that may get caught after dusk is going to have a miserable time.
