web22 27 Posted January 19, 2011 Report Share Posted January 19, 2011 hi all,i have a mk1 8ft finder box which now only picks up to around 5 feet and at short distances is about a foot off(ie at 1 foot the dial is on 2 feet),can i fix this fairly simply myself or is it best left to someone who knows what to fiddle with!any help greatly appreciated. night moocher 41 Posted February 1, 2011 Report Share Posted February 1, 2011 Quick fix on the deph dial just to help you out short term. put a white sticker over the exsisting one on the dial,measure from 1 ft to your collar and mark on sticker,then 2 ft and so on until it wont register anymore.but sounds like the carbon rod inside is cracked ...hope this helps you out abit....................steve Quote Link to post
