split litters are common enough, people often dont realise it tho. I currently have a beagle bitch that has been covered by two different beagle dogs, the first one is an old relyable stud, second one is a younger bigger dog from a different line. I have bred the first dog to this bitch several times and know the result is good, but to gain a bit more size i used the bigger dog, if the pups from the bigger dog turn out no good chances are i will have some from the old reliable dog and the whole thing wasn't a waste of time, some good pups will come from the litter. Its all well and good in theory but the bitch may have clicked to only one of the dogs but chances are there will be a few pups from both, bitch is black and tan, small dog is black and tan, all previous pups from this pair were black n tan, second dog was a bigger white dog, should have an idea if he throws a pup or two hopefully.
