zaktarin 1
Guys, I was keen to get your advice. I usually snare during the day and check them frequently, but recently I've been leaving them over night checking at 8pm, 12am and 5pm. When I checked at midnight last night a fox (I presume) had decided upon himself to have an easy snack and take most of my rabbit - leaving the two front legs and the head - the rest had disappeared! Do you leave snares out overnight and if so how often do you check them? Quote Link to post
The one 8,589
When i first put them out and if im catching same as you 3 times a day as a full snare catches nowt them as the catch rate slows down ,i check twice a day .Try a fox snare each end of your snare line now as foxy's found them he will be checking them every day . ratattack 111
Set in late afternoon on a windy night, leave overnight and check first thing in morning, no sense disturbing a snare line when it's working. Never snared during the day, too many people to see you and find the wires. Good way to lose your wires. Quote Link to post
