pain in the AR*E rat

Recommended Posts

We went out yesterday was all going well on a couple of small burries untill the last burrie of the day it was a fair size burrie so we pursed netted what we could and put long nets round the whole thing we entered 4 ferts to start with and the rabbits started to move ok as the action slowed down due to rabbits hole hopping we entered 1 fert at a time till we had 8 ferts working it we got 4 rabbits out the small burries and 10 out of this one 14 in all started picking up the ferts as they surfaced we picked up 7 of the ferts with no probs but the last fert no sign of got out the locator started looking for her being it was a big burrie she was hard to pinpoint when we did she kept moving all over the burrie then the problem surfaced a bloody great big rat it ran straight down another hole with the jill in hot persuit the rat kept hole hopping but the jill wouldnt let us pick her up we even tried teasing her out with a gutted rabbit not a chance she was hell bent on getting this rat the daylight started to fade fast as we were fast running out of time we had to use the 4x4 headlights to see properly the rat made another hole hop right next to my daughter which luckerly gave her chance to grab the jill by the tail as she was running back down again so we ended up going home in the dark and frozen to the bone because of this poxy rat but you cant win em all at least we had 14 good rabbits

has anyone else had a normaly placid ferret turn into a frenzy over something alien down a rabbit burrie ???
