ferreting

Theres to much snow for some serious ferreting so we took a couple jills with us when we walked the dogs today and ferreted the burrows we saw . The first burrow a rabbit popped out the other side of a six foot chain link fence and i was hoping that the ferret wouldn't follow as id no way of getting her back . Next burrow the rabbit showed at the mouth of the burrow and saw the lurcher and went back to ground a nice wee mark of under a foot chipped the top off and it moved showing three foot .Chipped the surface ice off and its bottle went and it bolted .The next one the lurcher picked up in the mouth of the burrow as it bolted ,then the third one flew into the net on the last burrow ,As we spent so much time chipping the ice away from the first rabbit it was getting dark so we headed for home mutts walked and three rabbits enough to fed the ferrets for a couple of days .

wish i could get out but dont think i could get the pegs in and the rabbit i had in the cage was stiff as a board so there on biscuits the now
