disco auto box

hi all any ideas changed the box cause the other one only had 1st and reverse got this box only done 75000 all clean inside but it appears to be stuck in park any ideas why??????????// is there anything i can do apart from changing it ? have i done anything wrong in fitting it all replies welcome especially sensable ones !!!! kev

what position was your tranfer box in when fitting mate

Hi jack lee to be honest not sure as a mate buttoned that up while i had to nip out what should i look for to see if its that,what position should it be in

first was the box out of a working vehicle ,you may question the box , if not tranfer box is normanly in low position if fitting the two together, i know some makes need your foot on the foot brake while taking it out of park, to be honest mate they are fairly bulletproof, also is there a press button on the gearlever, lets know how you get on either way we will sort it out, trust me ive been there :thumbs:

engine type, 200tdi, 300tdi or td5.

if the lever isnt moving disconnect from box end and move lever and cable, also move the gearbox lever by hand.

my mates 300 tdi selector cable froze,

hi mate lever is moving ok but the car won;t move unless disconnect the rear shaft and push
