you can try taking it to a rabbit pen and getting it used to seeing game running around and steadying it down when in front of game so as not to let it get over excited.some spanials open up when on hares that are useually ok around everything else.

Try taking a jiff lemon well washed out and filled with water and spray the dog in the face every time at the same time using the NO command.

You have got to try and catch it first....... It only realy does it when it,s away hunting?

Jaysus, talk about deja-vu.

I had to cut Saturdays shooting short, cos the mutt's head was full of rabbits. We worked over a patch of wooded glen first thing, and it was rotten with coney, even I could smell them.

And if I could, she must have been driven fecking demented by it.

She wasn't right for the rest of the morning, coursing when she could and ignoring all commands. She was still hunting, just not for me.

Not her fault though, she came to me late in life (for a dog), and the damage had been done by then.

So whatever the hell you do (rabbit pen and back to basic stop-go-come back commands), get it done now while the dog is young.
