johnrussell84 2,881
Was out last friday with the first touch of snow with my wee bitch just turning two, hoping to get her a dig shes a very hyper bitch and sometimes too keen which makes her hard to read, that and lack of time as the wee ones been unwell so alot of hospital trips, Anyhow went with my mate and his two russells to check a high bank which was holding a litter in the summer. As we were heading over the fields the tracks where everywhere and in every direction which gave abit of hope as we got to the bank we let the dogs off to mooch and find i went to the bottom he took the top anyhow i checked the bottom of the bank and some headge rows as its very thick through out the year and cant get near it, having not seen tess in over half an hour i gathered she was up working with his when we met back up discovered she wasnt so flicked the bellman on and backtracked got a check on 30 metres and followed it up the bank to a thick bush which read down to 1.1 could hear alot of banging but only the odd bay so wasnt sure whether she was up to her quarry or if she was pushing on, we had a seat and a listen for twenty mins as shes abit inexperienced i wanted to give her plenty time to settle, we set about digging and got through alot of roots opened up to tess who had taken her fair bit of stick and a very healthy but very dead vixen which i didnt think she had the capability to do , i have pics on the phone which i l try upload hoping with the time off through xmas il be able to spend abit more time on the country Quote Link to post
