Kay 3,709 Posted January 6, 2007 Report Share Posted January 6, 2007 I would like to find out what it was like to keep ferrets a hundred yrs ago, what was fed, did keepers also keep hobs , what the average life expectency was of a ferret in those days, that sort of stuff, so if any one nows of a book i could get hold off, a sort of diary if you like or a link to a site ,like an old gamekeepers or poachers diary that would be great. I have had a look on the net but cant really find much, i would like to see how they were kept compared to todays modern ferrets Thanks very much Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Published by Adam & Charles Black 1897 (I think Read books have re-issued) Ferrets & Their Management by C.J. Davies. Published by Vinton & Co. Ltd c1905 Ferrets & Ferreting by C.J. Davies. Published by Burlington Publishing Co. c1910 If there is anything in particular you want to know then drop me a PM and I'll have a flick through my copies - but please bear in mind I don't want to retype the whole book for you!!
