hunter.wales 0
this may sound mental but last night i had no pellets so i went out with my father and his shotgun i only have a deben tracer at the moment my dad and i we were holding the lamp for each other we shot tree rabbits so to save us holding the lamp i fitted the clip for the scope on the barrel of the gun it worked a treat i put it under the barrel for i could see down my sights it was tight on the barrel but it worked a treat but i do not know it its wise but it seems ok it seems like a good idea i shot a rabbit with it on and it also fits a 410 shotgun Quote Link to post
JohnGalway 1,043
I gave up on clip on lamps for shotguns years ago. I now hold the lamp in my left hand and the shotgun in my right hand. Resting the forend of the shottie on my left forearm, works well Quote Link to post
jackinbox99 41
Works for me on my hushpower, although cos of the diameter of the moderator, i just tape the lamp to the end of the barrel with black insulation tape! Quote Link to post
heritage 202
I use a moderated mossberg 410 and went through a similar situation......for a gun of this type and its effective killing range taken into account, a normal lamp isnt required...use one of the smaller gun lights such as the masterlight supreme or one of the deben offerings, there is a clamp supplied with the masterlite and alan salmon of masterhunter devised an improved method of attaching it to the gun....for those that use another brands of gunlight a friend recently told me about an alternative method... check out the bike "lockblocks"....heavy duty, lightweight, low profile,secure-easy attachment and cheap!!!perfect for the job.....
