Tyla 3,179
The foresight bead has vanished from my .410 Cooey, i want to replace it but im not sure whether to get a traditional brass bead as it had before or to try on of the fibre optic ones. Does anyone have any useful experiences or reviews to share? Quote Link to post
Tyla 3,179
So no one has used a fibre optic fore sight then Quote Link to post
matt_hooks 188
Personally I wouldn't bother replacing it. I've experimented with many guns and with/without fore end beads, and they make no difference when shooting properly. The only time a fibre optic might be useful is shooting stationary targets, and even then I don't really see much gain over looking along the top of the barrel. Quote Link to post
danebrewer10 6
I've shot guns both with and my personal preference, without fluo beads, I find the fluo beads are just too bright and big, they just seem to me to dominate the sight picture, I find the bead useful, I think the gun'd look naked without one, if the barrel has no rib and is just perfectly round then I'd think a bead'd be preferable, perhaps it'd stop you from looking down the side of the barrel? I'm not sure, a little tip on brass beads, get some low or medium strength thread lock and whack some of that on the threads, it stops te bead from coming undone and you losing it, the bead on my beretta was forever getting loose before I locked it in.
