To add an extra mesh you simply go through one of the meshes twice. I do this on the 2nd to last meshes on the net to keep the outer meshes tidy for the draw cord. I normally start with 7 meshes on the ring and add one until you hit 17, then 3 at 17, then start decreasing by 1 each line until your back to 7, then knit the ring on. That should give about a 4ft net. Decreasing is as easy, all you do is at the end, or start, of each line go through 2 meshes so each row you decrease by 1. There are some good instructional videos on here http://www.agouti-nets.co.uk/tutorials.htm I hope this is helps Hi CK, I do them similar to bud but I start with 8on the ring tnen increase at each end of every other row,as bud says knit 2onto the first and the same on the last mesh these additional meshes will be only half meshes till the next row thats not increased I start with 8-10-10-12-12-14-14-16-16-18-18-18-18-16-16-14-14-12-12-10-10-8-8 using a21/4 meshboard this makes a 4'6" net that when you extend the middle of the net the rings will come together and you'll still have a bit of bag in your hand Y.I.S Leeview Quote Link to post
