anotherone in snow today

Recommended Posts

hi lads back out again this morn in freezing conditions, headed to a big patch of scrub not far from me with 5 earths in it, 2 of them big ones and hard to get in to. walked to the far end of it with prints in the snow everywhere, i collered up my lakiexborder and let him of to run the cover and check earths as its so thick. after about 5 mins no sign of him so on with locater and found him to ground about 200 yards back where we had walked in at 0.9. started digging with some thumping going on below, got down about 0.7 next thing all quiet he moved about 20 foot and started again, 3 or 4 mins later quiet again and i heard a fox bolt out a hole 10 foot away. the dog never followed he went straight back to where we started digging and within 7 foot started baying again at 0.7 got down to him quick and he was hard at it with his quarry, he was in a massive tube with a small stop end just of the side of it so i tried to block it with shovel so i could get dog out. as im pulling dog out the bloody thing squeezed past shovel and of up the tube the other way, back in with dog, 15 foot away all starts again at 1.1, after ten mins of easy digging broke through to a big stop end with some thumping going on we had him this time, out with the dog and job done. no more digging for me for at least 12 days as 1 dog that needs that to recover. got sum great pics of last 2 days but wont let me upload them as its sayin file is to big, will try tomorrow. happy hunting
