RAMCAM 4
I must admit , ive not really looked into this . So whats the crack ? will you be using air rifle and deeks , or shooty ? Are you there alone or is someone giving you a guided shoot ? Let us know , Bust Hi Buster I gave them a call this morning and was told that there is a waiting list for the season membership which will be £65 a year to become a shotgun and Air rifle member with an additional £65 per year being charged for members wishing to use cleared firearms. Day membership costs £25. They will provide you with maps and details of the best areas to shoot. Becoming a member will give you access to shoot pigeon, rabbit, corvids and other vermin on over 2500 acres of Staffordshire farmland. The club is open to suitably licensed shooters of shotgun, air rifle and .22 rimfire and 1.7HMR. All members receive a clear set of maps outlining where they can shoot and a letter detailing permission from the landowner. Members have access to a clay pigeon practice evening every week throughout the year. My details have been placed on their waiting list for the season membership. I don't want to be paying £25 for day membership and i definitely will not be paying for a guide, it's a complete rip off. Guided days are avaliable: Guided Days Your guide will meet you and take you out to suitable sites and show you how to build a hide, lay out decoys, use bouncers/floaters and magnets and give you advice on hide discipline. You will be then left alone to enjoy the shooting and your guide will check up on you half way through the day. If the shooting has been quiet he may move you to another site. The guide is there to answer any questions you have and help you become a more experienced pigeon shooter. £100 per person per day Novice Shooter Very similar to the Guided day, the novice shooter will be instructed on building hides, setting decoys, hide safety and fieldcraft. The guide will sit with you for an hour in the morning and again after lunch giving you feedback on your shooting and hide discipline. £125 per person per day Quote Link to post

It's a bugger having to pay but i'm sick and tired of shooting paper targets. Last week i just missed the opportunity to gain some permission, but Vick (farmer) was very nice and down to earth, he invited me down to scope in my rifles. Quote Link to post
