CallumT 0
Ok,I need help zeroeing my air rifle. It's nothing special the rifle is a BAM [bANNED TEXT]-4 and the scope is a 6x40 NikkoSterling Mountmaster. I have tried zeroeing it,but I can't get the height high enough.I have taken the turret off and screwed it back in,but now I make it go up and it goes lower and occassionally a slight bit higher, but I have gone up so far it is coming off if I go Up anymore.I have been shooting from a Stable platform with a cushion on like in zini's video. The gun is a springer. Is it bad aim,the gun or scope?I seem pretty stable when I fire.I'd also like some advice on my breathing, just so I can become more accurate. Cheers in advance, CallumT Quote Link to post
Renzak 0
Hi i had the same thing but on the left it would only move to the right so took it back to the shop and he changed the scope now i hit perfect so sounds like the scope but i dont know much about the subject. Do u know anyone with a scope u can try see if that one works then u will no. Best bet is take it to local store and they will tell u whats wrong. Dont think i did but hope that helps Quote Link to post
mikeyblue 28
Hi, My advice would be to pack the scope in the mounts slightly. By this I mean put a thin piece of something inbetween the bottom of the scope and the mount, Ideally something like a photo negative (although I have used a piece of insulation tape in the past). This would lift the front bell fractionally, hopefully give you a bit more elevation to zero. Also what pellets do you use, and do they suit your rifle? Maybe try zeroing at 10m to start, getting it close then moving out to your required zero range. Regarding breathing I can only tell you how I do it, im sure others will do different. I take a breath in, let it go and release the shot before I need to take another. I find this the best method for me as my body is most relaxed at that point. When zeroing my springer I use a bag/cushion as a support and not a rest. Hope this helps mate. Mikey. Quote Link to post

Marksman 934
Get to your zero range and put up a LARGE target try 2-3 A4 pieces of paper square and draw a 1" circle in the middle one Centralise both the scope adjustment screws Take a shot, if the shot is going high pack the rear mount, if it's low pack the front mount with old camera film/negative till your POI comes down to the general ballpark (2 1/2-3") of your zero then use the normal adjustment screws Hope this helps Darryl Quote Link to post
