advice needed please

ive used bisley magnums air arms and some cheap pellets mate

I had a sharp innova some years back that done that and it had me baffled, after every other shot it would sling a pellet out by about 6in,the scopes where fine as they had not be badly knocked,i finaley narrowed it down to a out of line silencer.

Have you done the basics? Check that all stock and action screws are properly tightened, that the scope mounts are done up properly, the sound moderator is properly screwed on and in line with the bore, and that nothing is leaking. Then give the barrely a good clean out, maybe with a good cleaning solvent, to make sure there's no lead fowling.

 

Do you have a different scope you can try on it? Sometimes a scope can take a knock, from carrying it around, especially getting in and out of vehicles, that damages the internals and makes it unreliable. If you try a different scope and it improves then you know that's the problem.

 

When zeroing, shoot a group, minimum 3 shots, preferably 5, before you make any change to the windage and elevation. With a PCP, use a decent bench rest, such as a bean bag or similar, to make sure that the point of aim is constant for zeroing.

 

Inconsistencies are often the fault of the pellet. Some barrels like one pellet, others like a different one. There is lots of pellet discussion on here, it's worth buying a tin of a few different ones and finding which works best in your rifle. Once you find the most accurate one, stick with it. It's tempting to buy cheap pellets, but there's no point saving a couple of quid if that means that you can't hit a barn door at 5 paces with them!

 

If none of the above helps, then it might well be a problem with the internal seals. In that case you'll need to get a gunsmith who has experience of PCP's to have a look at it.

thanks alot for the help ive tried cleaning the barrel out and ive also tightened all the screws but theres no difference i have tried various pellets bisley airarms accupell but it still doesnt make a difference so i will trie chenging the scope cheers
