Question About Dogs

Another question Lads,I took my boy out Ferreting on friday,it was his third time out and I must say he was as good as gold in fact Ive never seen him so switched on.He was doing down stays listening watching waiting and pinned the rabbits in the nets and gave the two that escaped a real good run,but my question is should i have him still while waiting for a bolt or going on the bury following the action underground

I was the same as you mate when i first got the lurcher and i asked my mate and he said let it follow the action over the burrow ,so i did and she picks up a fair few in the burrow mouths and any the get out the nets shes right there

same as the fella above,dogs got better senses than us,they pick a fair few up,we would of missed,we cant watch every thing,and handy when you get a couple popping out at the same time,or when your digging one,buggers allways bolt on the far side away from you,when your up to your armpits in it,oki doki

let our jack russell bitch do her own thing, she knows better than me what hole they are going to appear from, she'll even mark holes when trying to find the ferts

Next time out I'll let him have a bit more slack I just thought it best to keep him out of sight from holes.Honestly though Im realy pleased with him
