Brimmer 220
Been out this morn on our patch. After last weeks low tally, had an idea the pickings would be slim, spoke to one of the sons of the farmer we had not seen this year, and he confirmed it, you are lucky to see much life on the high ground. He shoots a bit himself with the rimmy, but has left it late himself before he goes out, as everything is late, he said he may as well leave the rabbits untill they are full grown before he drops em. Heavy rain all morning, dogs having to work overtime to find a single scent. 5 rabbits seen, 5 rabbits caught, only one hole ferreted after a missed strike. Things are grim up north on the high ground, the winter has devastated the population. pretty sure it will take next summer to get anything like back on track with the numbers. Will continue every week through the season to take a couple, but nothing serious, more looking after whats there. Will have to look on the lower ground elsewhere for some serious sport, I owe it to the animals. Quote Link to post

The one 8,589
Some of my permissions like that , but i think if your doing pest control properly you should be looking for new ground every year anyway Quote Link to post
stealthy1 3,964
Numbers are not everything mate, If it was I would have nothing to post Nowadays I like to go out for a couple of hours rather than a full day, keeps the animals happy, did you take any pix of the scenery and the animals?
