matt_hooks 188
For a PCP, it doesn't really matter, as there's no recoil to deal with. Thread drift I know, but why choose a massive zoom for a low powered air rifle? 8 minimum zoom? I use a MAX 8x zoom on my .22LR, and find that's plenty. For air rifle ranges, I would say an 8X scope is a bit too much, all it'll do is amplify any wobbles and make you feel less steady! Quote Link to post
Sweeney-Todd 208
Hi Garrick. I use two piece on my HW100 and have had no problems at all. The Rifle hold's zero very well. Some folk's like the one piece mounts, because they say it braces the two parts of the action, but to be honest, I have had no problems at all with the two piece mounts, all down to personal choice buddy. The Sidewinder is an excellent scope, got the same one on my HW100 and cant fault it, the only problem I feel, is that we are adding even more wieght to what is already a heavy rifle. Nearly all my shooting with the HW100 is off the bipod in static position, so it does not bother me that much, when walking about, I use the sling and shoulder it. ATB. Bill. Quote Link to post
