FlyMyGirl 147
Hi I have just started taking my 18 month dog out for his first full season after getting him built up and ready for some nights running. First signs seem quite promising although seems to be having a few difficulties when there isnt anything moving in the lamp or he doesnt have a perfect view, hoping this will come with a little more experiance though. Just wondered how other peoples young ones where getting on and if anyone has any tips on how to get the best out of them as I don't want to spoil something that seems to be going well. Thanks Quote Link to post

Thanks This'll be my bitch's first season too, (after having lurchers for over 30 years I was without one for a couple, and it left a big hole in my life!) She's catching rabbits very well but same as yours, she's not spotting them in the beam straight away yet, but that'll soon come with experience. You've obviously got him fit, so as long as he's enjoying it, get him out, and he'll soon learn. ATB for the season. Quote Link to post
rory 58
i used a dead rabbit to practise for squatters. Worked ok,but don't do it too much, the dog will learn that it doesnt move? Im still learning along with the pup. Quote Link to post
