Pet show breeders 8weeks working dogs to me should be of the bitch on the 5th and get the milk [bANNED TEXT] of her my pups are eating from the day there eyes open so its no problem to them coming of the bitch at 5 weeks no matter what garbage the know it all's tell you about pups needing the bitch's milk to 8 by that time the teets are chewed to bits and take double the work shifting plus there should be plenty in there meat to give them all they need.

 

Always been told by the greyhound boys since i paraded that epsom salts takes the milk of a touch in there meal each day for a week and you wouldnt know she had pups they use it to bring the milk of quick after a season to get running again asap.

agree 100%,it's usually a good sign when pups are getting in to eat mothers food,which i have found to be around the 4th week,thats when i start to wean them,always works for me,cheers......john

they have been on ricepudding since their eyes opened and that soft webbox stuf that comes in a plastic tube now they have soaked dried mix with raw eggs aswell they cannot get to the bitches snap as i have a 18inch board seperating them so she can escape them when she needs to no they have not been dew clawed

Id take her of them then my pups are always on cooked dog mince i get from my butcher as soon as there eyes open plenty of it the less they take out the bitch the better.

well you should ov dewclawed them mate you should be more educated before you decide to breed my opinion not wanting a row tho hope the pups do you well and are good dogs whats the breeding and just for future at around 3-4 days old you should ov snipped the dewclawes off with some sterile scissors. atb stewie

The pups are saluki whippet grayhound and the mother is not dew clawed and she dose not have any problems ive had one other litter down three years ago they were weaned at 4to5 weeks someone said they thort it was two early so the question was asked and i thank you for your replies
