pups first ever jab? how old? then yeah absolutely. thats what went wrong with this wee un i was gonna have, no one had given her jabs when she was tiny pup. supposed to have two by time about 10 weeks i think, she'd had none, so virus was already in her, your pup should be clean as a whistle still, deffo vacccinate.

any idea what brand of vaccine they used?

to date the only vaccines iv ever had trouble with

was EURIAN.

Strangely, our 14 week old pup had a bad reaction to her first vaccine and that was Eurian. She was quite ill, but is fine now. She had her second jab 10 days ago and although a bit off-colour for 24 hrs,she didn't have the same bad reaction again.

Interesting thread.

it made 3 out of our 4 pups ill for a few days and the same 3 went on to catch parvo. i use Nobivac now and not had a problem so far.

sorry i didnt mean to worry you, its not uncommon for pups to be off colour for a day or 2 after jabs

whatever the brand. i think mine where just unlucky and 1 of them was fine on Eurican. it was a nasty

strain of parvo and we do live in a hotspot. so dont worry yourself too much. atb mrs A.R.D

Thanks...and as you say, it's not uncommon for pups to be off-colour after the vaccinations. And I think from what our vet said....parvo is rare in our area...
