honey buzzards

For those of you more knowledgeable on the passage birds ,do honey buzzards frequent our lands at all in winter as a conversation today with a chap who is a bbc wildlife cameraman threw me right off .The bbc ,according to him are documenting passage birds of prey for or as part of a new program .He assures me ,honey buzzards are not at all uncommen here .Personally,due to the vast colour phases and sizes of the commen buzzard I think sightings are dubious but .............................?

Hi spoke to my good friend in the Weald on the Kent/Sussex border and hes seen Honey Buzzards in mid January!,perhaps with global warming we may see more at this time of year?,ive even seen caterpillars at this time so their food may still be active?
