JUST OUT OF INTEREST, HAS ANY OTHER BERETTA EXTREMA 2 OWNERS EXPERIENCED SIMILAR TO MY STORY BELOW? ITS GETTING TEST FIRED BY THE DISTRIBUTORS TOMMOROW APPARENTLY FOLLOWING A REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY, THE DETAILS OF WHICH I DONT KNOW YET.HERE GOES......THIS WAS POSTED IN REPLY TO SOMEONE WANTING ADVICE THE OTHER WEEK.

I PAID £1500 LAST YEAR FOR A NEW XTREMA 2 - SUPPOSED TO BE THE DOGS BOLLOCKS. MY PALS HAVE THEM WITH NO PROBLEMS TO DATE, BUT WITH MINE IVE EXPERIENCED LIGHT "NON CENTRAL" STRIKES ON CARTRIDGE HEADS I.E MISFIRES, ( AS YOU,D EXPECT-USUALLY WHEN A GOOSE/ WIDGEON/PIGEON IS DIRECTLY OVERHEAD!). HAVING LOOKED THIS UP ON THE NET, THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF OTHER XTREMA OWNERS EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS INTERMITTANT PROBLEM STARTED FROM THE MINUTE IT CAME OUT OF THE BOX.BERETTA HAVE OFFERED UP SOME REASONS FOR THIS HAPPENING,NONE OF WHICH FIT THE BILL,IE NOT A CLEANING ISSUE, NOT A FOREND O RING ISSUE.A FEW INTERESTING POSTS FROM OTHER OWNERS RECKON THERE WAS A DESIGN FLAW WITH THE BREECH BOLT ASSEMBLY IN SOME MODELS WHICH SOMEHOW PASSED THE THROUGH THE QUALITY INSPECTION DEPARTMENT.ANYHOW I TRIED STICKING WITH IT, TO BE HONEST INITIALLY ON THE MARSH IN SUB ZERO TEMPERATURES I PUT IT DOWN TO DAMP CARTRIDGES, DESPITE NOT EXPERIENCING THIS ANY OTHER TIME IVE EVER SHOT FROM A YOUNG AGE. I WAS GOING TO STICK IT OUT, UNTIL IT MISFIRED AGAIN THE OTHER WEEK WHEN SHOOTING PIGEONS WID ME PALS. SO I SEEN ME ARSE AND SENT IT BACK TO GMK BERETTAS UK DISTRIBUTOR. THAT WAS OVER A WEEK AGO. IM GETTING A TWITCHY FINGER NOW WITH GOOSE SHOOTING SEASON DAYS AWAY...RANG THEM UP TODAY, LOW AND BEHOLD IT HASNT BEEN LOOKED AT YET AND WONT BE BACK WITH ME BY WEDNESDAY. IM GUTTED,ME OWN DAFT FAULT, I SHOULD HAVE GOT MY ARSE IN TO GEAR SOONER. I MAY BE OLD AND SYNICAL BUT WHEN I PAY £1500 FOR A GUN, AM I ASKING TOO MUCH FOR IT TO GO BANG EVERY TIME I PULL THE TRIGGER. OH DEAR. CONCLUSION IS , SPENDING A LOT OF HARD EARNED CASH GURANTEES NOWT

mate of mine i go shooting with is having problems with is extrema2, the problem with his is that when he shoots the first shot the other 2 cartridges in the bottom both jump up at the same time causing it to jam up, this has starting to happen every time we go out, and i got an extrema 1 and have not had any miss fires in the 3 years that i have been shooting it. think they should have left the gun alone after they made the first extrema because the second one seems to be having a lot of problems

Fit For Purpose. if it dont work as it should then there is something wrong that needs putting right.

 

 

I had a problem with my Urika2. same as above where the second cart got stuck or a double load. i spoke to GMK at the CLA show as i knew what the problem was and had the trigger assembly in bits. spoke to a gent on the GMK stand and he went and got me a new part and i fitted it when i got home. saves the hassle of RFD's and that. and way since then i have had no problems. it was the plate that flips the cart that was very slightly bent.

 

 

GMK are good to deal with so you should be ok. fingers crossed they sort it for you soon. until then i will be banging geese for you. hehe.

sort of. i did 21 day straight on the pigeons and then did the back in and a cold so been laid up since.lol. been out to zero a couple of rifles but told to give up until i have cleaned the.....clean clean, thats woman's work... i was going to ask her to do them but im scared to.

 

how have you been.

 

 

 

 

I would of just popped the pin on the trigger mech and sent that to them, they can then replace firing pin and spring and job done.

Take fire pin out, & grind small amount (1mm)off pin shoulder , on front edge. use bench grinder with good wheel, be very careful ,no get hot ! keep metal cold, with dip in water. This make pin come thru bolt extra 1mm , no misfre
