Marksman 934
But mother and infant arent doing too well......mainly due to an AAF headache! Popped out tonight for an hour to my local permission, still well overrun with thistles so moving around wasnt exactly quiet! I wasnt 20 yards into the field, flicked the lamp and saw 2 bright rubys sitting side by side at an estimated 45-50M, an adult and juvenile. Dimming the lamp so I could just see the glimmer I attempted to stalk closer, hopefully to within zero distance but it wasnt to be.....I think I made it 5 or 6M when the adult one stood right up as though it knew I was there.... Slowly down to the kneeling position I placed 3 mildots holdover and gently squeezed, a backflip later and one was down..... the juvenile just sat there as if it didnt know what was going on, then started running.....Towards me!!! It stopped what I estimated was about zero range (30M), crosshairs on the sweetspot and fired. It keeled over giving the salute and that was that... On closer inspection I found the bad news.....mixy!! Oh well....ferret food it is then! Sadly no pics as my phone went flat but I'll get some next trip.....Hopefully!! Cheers for reading as always! Phantom 631
Nice one Darryl I find the youngsters like to rush me when I've got the lamp on them, scared the crap outta me when the 1st one did it 1st night on the lamp in the cemetery total darkness, looking through the scope, then all off a sudden I see these two silver eyes comming straight at me from the front they looked sort of your typical alien eye shape f k did it give me a start! :11: Phantom Quote Link to post
