TOPPER 1,809
take your bitch away out of sight then rub the new pups with her existing pups leave all the pups together to climb all over each other and play etc when you bring the bitch back in watch her like a hawk if you have a muzzle put it on her , some bithes will foster ok others won t entertain it Quote Link to post
CarraghsGem 92
i wouldnt go the talc route, butter is better for that job but the bitch will take onto them a lot easyier if she smells like her own, you also want them suckleing very quickly after meeting her, that also kicks her hormones into shape, be very careful, dont leave her with them until she appears to have accepted them Quote Link to post
Rik 49
I was lucky my Pit had 7 pups and my JTR had 4 but 3 died, so I put 2 Pit pups on my russel she took them with no problems at all. They all turned out good pups Quote Link to post
Guest Buttermilk
Do be careful. You need to watch her like a hawk, some bitches become very unsettled and don't like the change at all. Edited August 29, 2010 by Buttermilk Quote Link to post
