5am this morning

Arrived at my ground at 4.15 am just breaking light.Saw a buck and a doe crossing a field in front of me.....................it was the buck I have been after for weeks :ph34r:

 

I stalked my way through the adjoining wood hoping to get a glimpse of him but no joy :realmad: but as I came out of the wood into the next field I caught sight of the buck crossing to get into next wood.

 

Luckily for me he stopped and looked in my direction,big mistake,he dropped on the spot at 210 yards with a.243 100 grain bullet

Well thats my last buck for a few weeks as I am off on my hols for a couple of weeks

Foxy by the look of how dark it is in that photo you shot that on the LAMP :11: :11: :11:

Burnie,I can assure you it wasnt. It was 5am and not a particularly bright morning,the photo was taken using the flash ...................making the background appear darker

 

Anyway I would never lamp a deer as it is illegal.....................I would never break the law

I told him to be quiet about that......................it was his fault we were caught anyway
