Guest Frank
Must be mad, but i loved it, every miniute of today. My mate called for me around 8:20 this morning. Weather seemed fine and the sun was dawning. We got to our place and walked a while, to gather the surroundings and plan what warrens we were going to do. Set nets on a nice 11 holer, poped my polecat jill in and waited, bang first bunny hits the net and rolls out and pegs it away Feck!, i thought. Second bunny, the same thing , supersonic bunnys?, No, my mates fecking net laying i found After giving him a bolocking , i reset them and re enterd the jill. Another hit the nets, this time i had it. No more bolted, so we moved onto a 32 holer Well, a big black mass moved over us and what followed was, all i could discribe it was, a cloud burst and with the ferts just enterd in and no shelter around. then to top it off, a bunny, flew out of an un netted hole ans acroos the feild. Roll on my young whippet pup. We got soaked by the time the sun came out again. Did another 9 holer and got just 1 out of that, when the clouds droped again. In the third warren, we dug 2 foot, to where the jill had one killed, third in the bag. The last warren we had another dig, 2 1/2 feet, got the ferret, but the bunny moved on . By this time, the rain was coming non stop, so we packed up and made do with 3 hard got bunnys. :11: Plenty about on this farm, so we will be back on a better day. Pics of our hard day below. One of the pics has my mates interesting home made fert box in. :11: Frank. Edited December 1, 2006 by Frank Quote Link to post
