KittleRox 2,147
wait another 2 or 3 months before entering and do it gently, pup still growing don,t run to hard, let pup and ferrets drink from same bowl what type is your dog Quote Link to post
RossM 8,149
aye wait another month or two, then ease them in, have you got an experienced dog to show the ropes? get her out get her watching maybe an easy "run" not runs then back on the slip, even if it catches back on the slip and let it watch if it blanks then same thing as you dont want to dishearten it, then gradually up the amount of runs you give it, even at 12-13mth maximum of 4-5 runs a night, good luck with the pup. paulhodge 3
cheers for your replys i was thinking i should leave her a bit longer, just dont want to put loads of effort then spoil her thats all. she is a collie/wippet/greyhound and quite flighty at the minute. she is retrieving a dummy in garden but loses interest quite quickly.
