IanB 0
Slight problem with the combi boiler...central heating works fine, but the hot water is constantly on and off every 10 seconds or so...the burners not staying on, tried phoning the fitter, no answer best trying tommorrow I reckon... Guest Jane Russell
Can't suggest a fix but can you switch the hot water off and only have the heating (and vice versa when you want hot water) until someone can come out to mend it? Jane
Guest Dale
that happend to us , is the presure gauge showing below 1? Dale
IanB 0
No cold working pressure is meant to be around 0.5barg, I'm suspecting dodgy thermostat or divertor valve...just guessing from the manual
bill88 6
Had a similar prob with mine. When you put the heating on the water came on as well and vice versa,it was the divertor valve at fault.

Guest stella
the diaphram in the diverter valve could be split
IanB 0
Lad who came round and fitted just sorted it, he knew the fault straight away, the hot water heat exchanger was dirty/partly blocked from not having the system power flushed when it was fitted, it had little bits of shit in it from the old radiators that must of been laid up in the microbore pipework...causing it to think it was up to temperature and cut off because of the flow restriction...just removed it and flushed the debris with tap water...all sorted...
