cody. 75
when i was growing up all the best dogmen kept deerhound crosses and they were serious dogs similar to bill dochertys types in his book about them but they seem like rocking horse shit to get hold of now why is this? not to keen a plattsys line but i think thats just because i dont like the man personally ive had doxhope stuff before completely different to what he has on his yard might be wrong just my opinion. mark brennan had some nice types but not a big breeder and tom riley used to write some cracking articles in edrd about them and spoke the truth on them. personally i think a well bred deerhound cross will wipe the floor with any bull cross on any quarry we never used bulls twenty years ago and then there was proper bull terriers around that were game tested not just used for the looks or power like today. so just wondering are they still around and anyone breeding genuine half crosses please let me no id be more than interested in pup... thanks still well bred working deerhound crosses about, just got to know were to look, the 2 i run atm are tom reilys stuff,my dog 10 year old and my bitch 3 and never been let down once Quote Link to post
