scotty2306 37 Posted July 10, 2010 Report Share Posted July 10, 2010 just a bit of advice really,last year i bred my jill and got 6 babies but at around 5 week she killed them all,so this time she has had 8 and there 4 week old now but i was just wondering if you have to take them away from the mother at a certain age?is this why she killed the last litter?and when do there eyes open?thanks Quote Link to post
The one 8,626 Posted July 10, 2010 Report Share Posted July 10, 2010 Ive never had to ,but try plenty grub so the jills not stressed with feeding a big litter . By three weeks of age i was putting half a rabbit a day into the nest box for the kits . Was it the jills first litter?? was there anything strange or different loud noises etc Quote Link to post

Was it the jills first litter?? was there anything strange or different loud noises etc yes it was her first litter and dont remember any strange noises and my area is fairly quiet,ive been feeding plenty this time and giving them bits of rabbit and the kits are having a go at them aswell.so lets hope there ok this time Quote Link to post
