Ferrets goin Bald

Hi Guys....needin some help here on this one.....I keep 2 jills together now one of the jills looks like she is goin bald she has a thin layer of fur over her body but all of her longer fur seem s to be fallin out...is this some kind of cast or do you think she may be ill....she is feeding and drinkin plenty and she does seem full of beans ....i have kept ferrets for a number of years but never seen this before cheers Davy

So the coats that left is basically a soft downey coat with the odd guard hair ?

Yes.....she does have a few longer hairs left but whats left under that is what you describe a soft downey coat....I took her to my mates and he thought it may be stress related because i have been doin some work with this ferret and my beddy/whippet pup ...cheers Davy
