What do you mean "have YOU tried"........nooooooo :laugh::laugh:

I dont have a video or Dvd...well i do but they have never been tuned in cos i cant, so the likely hood of me being able to copy a dvd is very remote :11:

Its for my old da, his health is failing and all the old luv wants for christmas is a certain video, but they only released it on dvd  He had great trouble mastering the video 2yrs ago when he was well, there is no way on earth he would be able to manage a dvd. Its either get it copied or just let him watch it the once at christmas at my sisters house?

Molly if its a dvd that has been bought from a shop or such like, it will have some form of copy protection built into it, so will be very unlikely that you will be able to copy straight onto tape anyway.

You would have to rip the dvd first and then copy that onto another disk, then copy that disk onto tape

Tisnt worth the hassle.

Just connect the dvd player scart lead to the "in" scart socket on the video,or if it has just one connect it to that and then connect to the tv with the aerial "coax" cable. Then just pop in the dvd press play and then record on the video,"voila!" ;)
