shotgunny 39
Went out on my first ever deer stalk the other day and I have to say I enjoyed it alot. The mate up brought had been asked to remove pre season deer by the forestry commission in Wicklow . We arrived around half 7 and walked up to our shooting spot. We were behind a large rock in the center of the field with a good view of were the deer were emerging from the forest. It was 9 before anything emerged and it was a doe sika with juveniles. Slowly more deer emerged and eventually a nice stag came out around yards away . I pulled up the .270 rifle and took aim. I hit the stag in the neck and he fell straight down . Still can't believe how much difference there is between a .270 and a 12 bore lol. Anyway it was a great experience and I hope to do it again sometime soon. Atb sg Quote Link to post
