AlbertJ 569
It's unfortunate Albert that the first day of your game fair should coincide with a major fieldsports rally in the republic. But then again fighting for our sport should come before pleasure. Blame the Greens. Neil, It is indeed unfortunate that the rally should clash with the first day of the show. Our dates have been set for over a year and obviously the rally has been called much later apparently in the full knowledge that it would coincide with our Fair. We obviously support RISE not only in the magazine but also have invited them to attend our Fairs where they would be guaranteed a crowd and the opportunity to put their message strongly. Our Fairs have been demonstrating substantial support for country sports including hunting for 32 years and Shanes had record crowds for any Irish Game Fair in 2009. While it is disappointing that RISE couldn't arrange to miss our dates I am very confident that we will take the country sports message to a record crowd again this year. I hope the RISE demo is also a success and I wish the RISE Committee well in their endeavours but would ask them to make sure to organise nothing to coincide with our Fair at Birr on the 28th & 29th August. Country sports unity should be important to both them and to us. Albertj Edited June 24, 2010 by AlbertJ
