snoopdog 1,256
some people would rather buy a dog already working and some people would rather have apup and bring it on themselves me personally would rather do the latter and bring a pup on myself..i have quiet stong views on this and i would like thoughts on this one please..i think if you get a pup you can fetch it on how you would like it . and train it your way .surley you got to be more proud of your dog if it turns out to be a cracker than if you bought a cracker..i also think that if you havent got time to fetch a pup on .. ? have you got time for a new dog ..before you start ranting at me i no theres some of you buying or getting a dog already working have good reasons ..so give them to me ... Guest JOEB
If you had a dog get injured or killed half way in to the season, and you had room for another....I would take an adult.........wouldnt be that bothered if it was entered or not......can soon do that! JOEB Quote Link to post
jigsaw 11,899
At the moment I have 3 pups at 13 and 14 months old,2 were born a week apart and the other is a month older.I will be starting to give them a look at x mass as I think they're a little young yet.I have some farmers on to me to dig a few burrows and remove the occupants and I could do with an experienced dog right now but theyre like gold dust.I would gladly buy an adult to get me out of this dilema but I think the farmers will look elsewhere soon as we cant come up with the goods.I prefer to rear my own pups and bring them on myself but I had a family member sick for a long period and couldnt keep the terriers I had.Its a bugger trying to get back into the scene.
