CarraghsGem 92
i am new to keeping pigeons, my new pair of limerick tumblers are excellent broodys and hatched 2 chicks out of 2 eggs yesterday BUT their beaks are very small- im a little concerned (after it was pointed out to me by a friend ) that they may have problems rearing their own chicks;- should i switch these chicks with those of a less valuable pair of pigeons? DUCKWING 302
TOO LATE ......... PIGEONS FEED MILK THE FIRST FEW DAYS IF THE PAIR YOU PUT THEM UNDER HAS STOPPED FEEDING MILK THEY WILL DIE THE ONLY WAY TO FOSTER SQUABS IS TO SET BOTH PAIR OFF LAYING AT THE SAME TIME [ WITHIN 3 DAYS ] AND THEN SWAP THE EGGS TO THE FEEDER PAIR AND DISPOSE OF THEIR OWN , THE TUMBLERS SHOULD GO BACK DOWN AND LAY ABOUT 9 DAYS TIME IF THEY ARE FIT ........... I KNOW A FEW MEN THAT KEEP THESE AND THEY HAVE NO PROBLEMS WITH THEM FEEDING THEIR OWN YOUNG ,,,,,,,,,,,,,, IF YOU WANT THE LIMERICKS OUT AND FLYING THIS SEASON PROPERLY YOU SHOULD BE NEARING THE END OF THE BREEDING SEASON ..........
