If the weather is hot I would use dried food as it cuts down on the amount of flies around the hutches. Whole carcass(pigeon, rabbit etc) is natures way for adults and kits and the amount of liver/kidneys etc is then in the correct proportions. Just my view but it makes sence to me. On the subject of flies, we pin net curtain over the run area. Not 100% but helps... Yer the net curtain works quite well, but they still manage to get in somehow! I just tend to feed in the evening and just enough to be consumed in one sitting, so the flies aint so much of a problem. Quote Link to post
The one 8,585 Posted June 19, 2010 Report Share Posted June 19, 2010 Same here feed about ten pm take the remains out in the morning ,A Sterling fly bag each end of the huts cuts down the flies .But it's the remains i put in the bucket still has fly eggs on it and you get maggots crawling about the bucket Quote Link to post
