bigdan 11 Posted November 15, 2006 Report Share Posted November 15, 2006 im new to lamping always courseing or bushing with terriers to lurchers so i might sound stupid but ive brought a lamp and you got fall beam and half that you cant see nothing what is that for and when on something is it fall beam you want also what are filters for always worked lurchers and terriers but new to lamp i had an old lamp with one setting full on but new one confused cheers dan Quote Link to post

inan 841 Posted November 15, 2006 Report Share Posted November 15, 2006 im new to lamping always courseing or bushing with terriers to lurchers so i might sound stupid but ive brought a lamp and you got fall beam and half that you cant see nothing what is that for and when on something is it fall beam you want also what are filters for always worked lurchers and terriers but new to lamp i had an old lamp with one setting full on but new one confused cheers dan Dan dont know if youve got a clulite or not {I have ]these have a small "walking" beam on them ,its for opening gates ,putting your dog back on the slip etc, the theory behind the various filters is that Rabbits [and foxes] dont get so educated to them ,especially in areas that are heavily lamped ,so that you are suppossed to be able to get nearer ,then you can flip up the filter at the critical moment,I dont use them but many lampers swear by them personal chopice,I find the little walking beam invaluable.
