side wheels are the devils work :D :D ,,used by lazy FT shooters :whistling: :whistling: that cant get their head round the ret in their scope,, there hard work T you have to mark the wheel up with your distances, then yah have to prat about with the elevation turret an mark that for the distances on the side wheel,an you basicaly rezero your scope for every shot,an yah have to rember to turn it back to zero after every shot, ive seen some of the top shots in the UK forget to wind it back after a shot, and miss dial the scope an miss the plate i suppose its ok for range finding, just my take on it, its not written in stone,i much prefere to use the mil-dots after spending a while finding out wich dot goes to what distance, oh an dont forget that your poi will change on some cheaper scopes when yah change mag,oh an there is a guy at the club that makes them, out of ally an acrillic

Hi Bud,

Yeah I only wanted it for focusing/rangefinding; not for dialling each shot. The little knob on the side at the moment is a bit fiddly when I've got my eye to the scope and the increments are sparse.

But having said that I'm beggining to use the mildots for rangefinding now as I know the hold over points for the dots.

ie: Full grown Bunny's head takes up 2 MD's at 10Mag = Range to Bunnies Noggin is 30 Metre's :D

Not perfect by any means but blooming close  probs arise when rabbit aint full grown

dose MTC make a sidewheel for my mtc mamba lite? theres a chap in the airgun club i go to who has glued some paper to the outsid of his sidewheel and has written down all the ranges from 10-60yrds in 2 yrd intrevals on his sidewheel. as you can imagine its fairly big. but he says it cheaper and jus as effective as a LRF.
